I am severely disappointed with today's Combino livery. Yellow plus previous YT livery does not a new livery make.

Gwiwer, you'll note that I have no objection to the Mulhouse yellow scheme - indeed I would be happy to see them return to it. My objection is to the promotional rubbish Yarra Trams have seen fit to plaster all over them.

It's one thing to doll a tram up for a media launch with a nice special livery, but it's another to simply cover 5 trams in a million square feet of children's stickers.

Anyone read the inside of a Bumblebee? The yellow in the livery represents the sun rays shining. That is why Yarra trams had the dull grey, it represents the grey clouds of doom!

Very observant padawan, you are.

The new tram livery I like.

Yarra Trams MK 4 looks really good on the Z3, A2, B2 classes (can't wait for the rest of the trams to be painted!)

Though I am disappointed about the livery applied to D1.3512. Why didn't they do the same as the other trams?

Also it could be a one off thing. Sprinter 7007 was painted in a different livery to the other class members so maybe this will be similar.

I too am a huge fan of the new YT MK4 livery.

I like it that they have also removed the advertising from the trams (is this permanent?) and not livered over the windows. I think it will be interesting to see what they achieve with the C1 class trams. On their videos on youtube, I think their concept for the C1 class looks quite good and I was surprised to learn that no C1 class trams were re-livered for the launch.

They're on youtube.

If you go on the Yarra Trams website, you'll see this image appear (if you wait) regarding the new livery. It features a Z1 and a Z2 tram. If you ask me it looks sort of odd.

Hey Bravus,

On closer inspection, it is not necessarily a Citadis, it would appear to be somewhat of a generic nature.

Oh, that video.

It's got too many doors to be a Melbourne tram  Remember, Melburnians apparently don't need a rear door...

Thats right, because they always use the front one.

I have a list of some D1 trams in Yarra Trams MK4:

D1.3501
D1.3507

It would be apprechiated if the relevent pages could be updated to show these changes.
