Tram network maps of regional cities is needed

Postby Tranzit Jim » Sun Dec 27, 2009 2:59 pm

I was keen to look up a map for the Bendigo tram network, and found that Vicsig did not have such a map.

I do mean the historic map, of back say in the 1960s when the tram network was at its full.

Could Vicsig, do as a temporary thing, to just do a scan of a map of each of the networks, Bendigo, Ballarat, and Geelong, until they do a better or proper image of the respective networks?

While I am here, we need a map which shows all old/closed routes, say in red as well as the green ones to show open.

Perhaps we could use yellow, to show mothballed linkes, Orange for tracks which exist, but only for special purposes.

I made Google Earth overlays for Bendigo, Ballarat and Melbourne a while ago. Both the Bendigo and Ballarat maps are missing some loops and the Melbourne map is a little out of date, but will be updated soon.

I give all rights to Vicsig to use the KMZ files they are available here:
Bendigo
Ballarat
Melbourne

If anyone has any information to improve any of the maps of information on Geelong that would be appreciated.

Liam.
